My son requested a Christmas tree cake for his birthday 2010. This is what I made for him. The cake is assembled using SaraLee pound cake... stacked them together, "glue" it with frosting, then shaped it ... and you get the shape of the Christmas tree :) Smearing on the green coating is the hardest part, that is cheese frosting plus some pandan colouring. The decorations are some smarties, sugar coated gummy hearts, and those Christmas deco were collected from a buffet dinner. We have to keep the cake refrigerated till the exact cake cutting moments cos the frosting melted and our deco began to slide down :(
